LFG Welcomes Brendan Dyer
Law Finance Group (LFG), the oldest U.S. litigation finance firm, founded in 1994, is pleased to announce that Brendan Dyer has joined the LFG team as a Funding Director, based on the East Coast. Previously, Dyer served as a Vice President, Business Development, for Woodsford.
To his new role at LFG, Dyer brings more than a decade of experience in legal pricing and project management. Prior to his time at Woodsford, he led strategic pricing initiatives for Goodwin Proctor’s IP Litigation and Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices. He has also held legal pricing roles at WilmerHale and Ropes & Gray. In addition to his work within AmLaw 50 law firms, Dyer founded and operated a legal finance brokerage business, where he worked to find financing for meritorious legal matters. He is an Accredited Legal Pricing Professional (ALPP).
“We are thrilled to be adding Brendan to the LFG team,” shared President & CEO Kevin McCaffrey. “His experience is quite unique: his work in strategy and pricing for three Amlaw firms gives him a keen understanding of law firm economics and the attendant operational constraints. His ability to put himself in the shoes of all parties in the funding agreement will add to our proven ability to provide bespoke and creative financial solutions for our claimant and law firm clients.”
Dyer says that he chose to make the move to LFG for a number of reasons: “I’m excited to work with a diverse group of colleagues and to be part of a funder with LFG’s singular longevity. In today’s capital environment, knowing my clients will have ready access to captive balance sheet capital to cover their needs is crucial, as is LFG’s client focus and commitment to building long-term strategic partnerships.”
